It’s America’s big day, and although it’s on a Wednesday, there’s no reason not to go all out with your honey at these romantic and fun NYC events. Here are 3 fun and romantic things to do for July 4th in NYC.
1. Midsummer Night Swing. The Mambo Legends Orchestra. On July 4th, Lincoln Center’s danceathon gets into the swing of things when the Mambo Legends Orchestra starts upbeat music. Show off your fancy footwork, pull that special someone in closer, and be ready to let go at Midsummer Night Swing.
2. Fourth of July Party at Northern Territory. If you’re more of a trendy rooftop person, then this is the place for you and your special someone. Celebrate America’s birthday at one of the best rooftops in all of Brooklyn. There is a $60 entrance fee but it gets you access to one of the best views of the Macy’s fireworks, boozy cotton candy, red white and blue drinks and $20 from each ticket is donated to the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project.
3. Travis Parade. If you’re looking to get out of the city for America’s Birthday then head over to the Travis Parade in Staten Island. A place filled with little red, white and blue flags, warm slices of pie and marching bands that can trace its history to the colonial days. It is the oldest continuous Fourth of July parade which gives you and your honey something to talk about. Another romantic aspect of this parade is that you can take the ferry to get there and pass right by the Statue of Liberty.
